We cannot simply live on minimum wages any longer.  The tourism industry is not going to pay enough in salaries for us to feed our families, pay the increasing utility  bills, pay the rising costs for food and clothing,as well as keeping our mortgage payments from falling behind.

Osceola County needs to provide incentives to bring  industries such as manufacturers, and other blue collar opportunities through localized branches of large corporations.   Osceola Commissioners and government MUST make this happen through true Economic development and not just tourism related businesses, or smaller sized companies. We MUST have large corporate commitment in Osceola County.
 
It’s time to live up to prior Commission promises to construct the Southport interchange. By constructing the Southport interchange and connecting with the Florida (Ronald Reagan) Turnpike, we will open up a whole new world for our residents, as well as to commercial development. This would open up many new opportunities on land that is not being utilized at this time or  the near future.  The possibilities are limitless, and available properties in the Southern portions of the City of Saint Cloud and the Keanansville area, which could actually contribute towards increased development for the housing and commercial industries, in turn, increasing employment for our residents.
This would enable our residents in Poinciana and those living along Pleasant Hill Road to get to work quicker and more economically efficient.
